I am doing another round of donations for our local children's hospital and was looking for some more help from the blog community. I do a big donation twice a year...one on Mae's birthday and one on Mae's passing which is coming at the end of the month. A few of you indicated the want to help me on this next round. I contacted the group that I work with there for specific needs right now. They indicated a need of quilts, pinafores and tote bags. If anyone is interested, I have talked about this over here and here - click on those links if you want to learn more about why I do this and what it's all about. You can see pictures of the things we have made here and here. Please drop me a note or email and I can get you more detailed instructions of what they need. If you can't get the items completed by the end of the month, it's not a problem. I bring things in all the time....I just like to make my biggest contributions on those special days. Thank you!!!
What a great way to help the hospital and to remember your sweet little girl. I wish I could participate. Be sure and post about it when you do this again.

I'm not a terribly good seamstress, but I could probably manage a tote bag. Do you want fabric for a child -- young or old? Is it for the back of a wheelchair? If you would e-mail me exactly what you want, I'd be glad to send you something. This is a lovely effort. I am part of a prayer shawl ministry at my church, and we have given away over 70 prayer shawls in the past couple of years. I look forward to hearing from you.

This time, for sure. I'm putting it on my calendar. I'll drop you a note when the quilt is done. xo
